The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry prepares highly motivated students to become independent scientists by providing an in-depth research experience that includes gaining knowledge and skills in advanced topics of chemistry. They will be able to instruct others in their discipline through development of written and verbal communication skills. Students may choose to specialize in a particular field of study by enrolling in any of the tracks available, including Chemistry Education Research, Environmental Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, or Radiochemistry.
