Program Title
The Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Electrical Engineering at FIU holds accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Electrical engineers are responsible for the design, development, testing, and oversight of the production of electrical equipment and systems. Within our program, students have the opportunity to specialize in various concentrations, spanning from quantum-scale technologies to the design of large-scale power generation systems. Our curriculum encompasses the practical application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. The field of electrical engineering continually evolves, with emerging technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), hardware security, control systems, AI-powered autonomous devices, and wireless communications through antennas and other devices. Whether the goal is to enter industry, entrepreneurship, or pursue advanced studies in electrical engineering, this bachelor’s degree equips students for success.
