Introduces the science of reading, Scarborough's rope, structured literacy. Also introduces linguistic elements of English, language development, emergent literacy, and their impact on L1 and L2 students and on struggling all readers including children with Dyslexia. RED 3313 is aligned with reading endorsement Competency I: Foundations of Reading Instruction.
