Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders across the lifespan. Graduates are trained to provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including psychotherapy and medication management, in various settings (e.g., hospitals, community mental health centers, private practices, telehealth services). The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, and culturally appropriate care to improve mental health outcomes for diverse populations.

Upon successfully completing the program, graduates will be equipped to practice independently or collaboratively as psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners in diverse healthcare settings, effectively meeting the needs of a broad range of patient populations.

Graduates will be eligible to take the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner National Certification Exam.
