Academic Progression Requirements

Students must complete the five foundation courses (15 credits) with a minimum GPA of 2.50 or greater in two attempts or fewer. These courses include  coursecoursecourse, course and course .

Drops after the add/drop period, which result in a DR grade, are considered an attempt in the course and count as an unsuccessful enrollment. Students who do not satisfy this requirement will be advised to change major to other degrees such as ARTHST:BA or INTSTUD:BA

Other Curricular Offering: Combined BA in Art to MS in Art Education Accelerated Degree Pathway

Students enrolled in the BA in Art may apply to the Accelerated Master’s in Art Education Degree Pathway. If accepted, students will be allowed to take up to 12 credits of graduate courses which will apply toward both their undergraduate and their master's degree program.

There are no majors associated with this program.

Admissions Requirements for the Combined BA in Art to Master of Science (MS) in Art Education Accelerated Degree Pathway

(1) Current enrollment in the BA in Art

(2) Completed a minimum of 75 undergraduate credits

(3) Current GPA of 3.2 or higher

(4) Portfolio review and interview

(5) Complete the separate Accelerated Bachelors/Master’s degree application, including signed approval by the director, coordinator or designee of the graduate program.
