Simple Requirements
Students must have an earned bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 credits of their upper division coursework. Students must be in good academic standing. Students should have completed a minimum of two (2) courses in general biology and one course in ecology as a prerequisite to the program.
This certificate is open to degree-seeking students only.

Students obtaining an MS in Environmental Studies and wishing to obtain a graduate Certificate in Biodiversity Conservation and Management must take at least one graduate level course in biodiversity or integrated biodiversity conservation fields different from that used to satisfy the MS degree.
For Conservation Sciences and Management and Integrated Biological Resources Management, additional graduate level courses in environmental studies, agro-ecological sciences, and earth resources in the Department of Earth and Environment and in organismal biology in the Department of Biological Science can be counted for this certificate on a case-by-case basis.
