Program Title

Early Childhood Education

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Early Childhood Education will prepare students for a multitude of career paths within the field. The program provides opportunities for students to gain knowledge and skills focused on child development, instructional practices, assessment, planning, and family/community studies. Two majors are offered under the BS in Early Childhood Education: (1) the initial teacher preparation program, which results in full certification through the State of Florida in addition to Reading and ESOL endorsements; and (2) the Development degree, which prepares professionals for the field, but does not result in teacher certification.
