Degree Offered

MS - Master of Science

Program Title

Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at FIU offers graduate degrees that can enhance career opportunities and prepare a student for further success in academia. The Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Engineering prepares qualified students for the professional practice of or advanced academic research in environmental engineering. The student is required to specialize in a defined area of environmental engineering but may broaden knowledge through studies combining subject material from different areas of specialization and interdisciplinary related courses. The MS degree is available in a thesis or non-thesis program. The thesis program entails a minimum of six credits for the successful completion of the research and thesis. The non-thesis program must be supported by either the successful completion of a project and a report of substantial engineering content for a minimum of three credits or the all-course option. A combined accelerated BS/MS degree pathway is also available. For more information, visit the College of Engineering and Computing website.
