Program Title

Marine Biology

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marine Biology provides students with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in diverse areas to show the interconnected nature between ecology, genetics, evolution, organismal diversity, and oceanography. This degree is ideal for students who plan to pursue graduate studies and careers in marine biology, marine botany, zoology, ecology, molecular and cellular biology, natural resource management, conservation management, and nonprofit organizations. This program allows students to explore upcoming methods of research through data science, and hands-on experience utilizing technology such as drones and autonomous vehicles. Students are able to form their specialization through course curriculum, and encouraged to explore realms of science they may not have considered before. A BS in Marine Biology with Honors is available. Pre-health and pre-vet curricula and advising for students planning to go into healthcare-related careers is also available.
