Program Title
The Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesiology (DNP-NA) degree program is designed to prepare students to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to safely administer anesthetics to patients in hospitals, surgical centers, physicians’ offices, and other healthcare settings. The program focuses on developing advanced competencies in evidence-based practice, leadership, healthcare policy, technology integration, innovation, and interprofessional collaboration to improve anesthesia practice. The curriculum emphasizes the application of research to clinical practice, leveraging technological advancements to transform healthcare delivery and enhance patient care. Graduates will be eligible to take the National Certification Examination to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), as well as apply for the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) credential with a specialization as a nurse anesthetist from the Florida Board of Nursing.
