Students must choose one of the tracks below to meet the degree requirements.

The Rehabilitation and Recreational Therapy degree includes, in addition to the common prerequisites, 30 credits of Core courses and the choice of two Tracks: Recreational Therapy and Rehabilitation Therapy.

For course, students are required to take the course three times, each on an assigned topic. After this requirement has been met, additional labs can be taken under different topics as electives.

Students must have a 2.5 GPA to enroll in course and course. course internship is a 320-hour internship experience. course internship must be an internship experience in accordance with NCTRC standards.

AND
Students must take three (3) credits of Advisor Approved Electives
A 2.5 GPA is required to graduate from the Recreational Therapy track.

Students in this track must complete the required core courses (30 credits) and may take additional electives to apply toward career goals and/or professional/graduate school prerequisites.

Freshmen students are admitted directly into the program. See general university admissions requirements at admissions.fiu.edu.

To qualify for admission into the program, transfer students must meet all published admission requirements which include: general university requirements for admission and required program prerequisites. Admission for transfer students into the undergraduate program requires a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

There are no majors associated with this program.
