The Education Specialist (EdS) degree in School Psychology prepares students to deliver comprehensive school psychological services within a multicultural setting for the purpose of promoting children’s educational and psychological development. Graduates of the program are trained in psychoeducational assessment, academic/behavioral intervention, consultation and collaboration, research and evaluation, and legal/ethical decision making. The program aims to produce graduates who are sensitive to individual, cultural, and linguistic differences and who value and protect the interests and welfare of those they serve through advocacy. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for state- and national-level certification as school psychologists.
