The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology trains students to become experts in the study of psychology. The primary goal of the program is to equip students with the skills necessary to function as academic and/or research scientists. The program provides a rigorous, broad-based graduate education, with an emphasis on topic-specific skills in research methodology and data analysis. Students have the opportunity to specialize in the following areas: Applied Social and Cultural Psychology; Child and Adolescent Clinical Science; Developmental Science; Industrial/Organizational Psychology; or Legal Psychology.
